The Deepest Secrets To E-books
 by: Seth Chong

So what is ebook really all about? The following report includes some fascinating information about ebook–info you can use, not just the old stuff they used to tell you.

Ebooks are part of the new frontier of cyberspace. They are an entirely new medium for sharing marketing information, ideas, techniques, and expert knowledge.

Each day the number of people accessing the Internet grows, causing the exposure of your ebook to increase incrementally. It’s obvious why electronic self-publishing has become so popular so quickly.

The publishing industry, I hope, does not intend to forever banish the printed word to the dustbin of history. Books in print have their own special qualities and merits, and the world would be diminished by their disappearance.

Having said that, let’s look at what makes ebooks so important and so unique. Ebooks have certain abilities and qualities that other mediums do not possess.

For example, ebooks are fairly easy to produce, and their production cost is inexpensive. Just think about it: you don’t need a publisher, an agent, a printing press, offset film, ink, paper, or even a distributor. You just need a great concept, the ability to write it or to hire a writer, and the right software.

Vocational Experts 7 Proposals to Solve the Unemployment Problem

February 28, 2009

The subject is constantly in the news and may decide the next national elections - the infamous jobless recovery. More than 8 million Americans are out of work with another 4 million underemployed or no longer looking for work. Good manufacturing, technical and services jobs are being shipped to India, Asia, and other developing countries. The mood of the middle and working class becomes more pessimistic, the outlook for their immediate future more grim.

Politicians debate solutions: abrogating current trade treaties, providing protection for various industries, investment in retraining programs, wishful thinking that lower taxes will turn everything around, the promise of a labor shortage within 15 years.

Meanwhile, the population grows, demanding the creation of 150,000 new jobs per month just to stay even. Where are the more than 2 million 2004 jobs promised by the Council of Economic Advisers?

They will come when the government truly invests in the social and financial welfare of the working public. Historically, the U.S. has looked at employment only in times of crisis - recession or alarming unemployment figures. Rather than “quick fixes,” we need a national long- range policy on employment which addresses the issue, in good times and bad, with sustained interest, analysis, and support.

Successful Business Decision Making

February 27, 2009

Some people make decisions without any difficulty, while others struggle. Are you having trouble making a decision? Do you feel overwhelmed by all the choices you have, and aren’t sure how to pick just one? No matter how big or small those decisions might be, I can teach you how to strategically:

– Define your decision and come up with alternatives

– Determine what criteria you’ll need to help you make the decision

– Make the decision

“If we wait for the moment when everything, absolutely everything is ready, we shall never begin.” ? Ivan Turgenev, famous 19th-century Russian novelist, poet and playwright

DEFINING THE DECISION AND ALTERNATIVESSTEP 1: What is it that you need to make a decision about? Maybe you have several choices to make, but start with one. Ask yourself a couple of questions that are applicable to your situation, such as:

"What do I want to be doing for the next 6 months?" "What business am I going to start?" "What aspect of my business do I want to grow?"

Freebie Seekers? Turn Them Into Clients and Referrers - or Turn them Far, Far Away

February 26, 2009

Many service business owners these days are “giving away” their business services ? and then wonder why people aren’t hiring them in droves. In the name of “marketing,” business owners are providing way too much information for free. Some shifts in thinking are necessary if these business owners expect to be in business years from now. Even trained coaches, I believe, do too much pro-bono work. Why? They say that they need to practice, but the bottom line, IMO, is that they don’t value their gifts.

Shifts in thinking and action need to occur. One place to start is by moving yourself from an employee mentality, where you “give information for free because your company is paying you and it’s just what you do in your job” to thinking like a business owner who values their gifts and expects to be paid for those gifts.

There’s a definite shift in the right direction, thank goodness, taking place on the Internet. I think it started after the dot.com bust settled down. The first site that went from free to paid that I remember was Consumer Reports, a publication I’ve been reading since 1973! I thought, "how could they" and then realized what a novel idea ? business web sites actually making money using a subscription based membership site.

Business Planning and the ?Bozo? Factor

February 25, 2009

"Bozo" ? A clown with a forlorn look, always finding negative implications in every activity or event. A person who tries to find a way to prevent you from moving ahead, giving excuses such as "we’ve always done it this way, or this is not our culture" when presented a new opportunity or challenge. Normally associated with people who are uncomfortable with learning new techniques, processes, or relationships.

Guy Kawasaki from Garage.Com ? a venture capital company, used to have a segment in his presentations called "Don’t Let the Bozos Grind You Down." This segment discussed how every organization will have a corps of people who simply try everything in their power to stop innovation, new product and service development, and introduction of anything new into the daily job function. These people are "bozos." If you want to avoid the pain of dealing with bozos in your business planning, you need to develop techniques in identifying and preventing bozos from interfering with potential future activities of your organization or company.

Obtain Maximum Results For Your Small Business Through Better Time Management

February 24, 2009

Most small business owners are faced with so many responsibilities and an unbelievable workload throughout the day. Mainly because of the many different roles that we have to play. On any given day a small business owner must be a customer service representative, collections specialist, marketing specialist, public relations representative, and the list continues. It’s enough to drive the average person crazy. But we small business owners are made of a different stock yet still we succumb to normal, everyday pitfalls caused by poor time management. Poor time management can severely negatively impact your business through lost sales and disgruntled customers. A small business owner can’t afford either.

First, whatever you are using as an organizer stick to it. A pocketsize organizer or palm pilot can do wonders. But they don’t work on their own. They are only of use if you regularly enter your data and continuously review what you’ve entered.

How Home-Based Business Entrepreneurs Think

February 23, 2009

Too many people are trying to start their home businesses with an ordinary employee’s way of thinking. This has become a common reason why not long after sitting down and giving it a fair look into even the most lucrative business opportunity they bump into, they put it away and decide not to take any chances.

What has happened here is that the most lucrative business opportunity has been looked into by an ordinary 9-to-5-worker, who appears NOT to be business-minded.

If you are like most people, you have probably considered starting your own business yourself. But above all, you have to understand that to make into a successful Business Entrepreneur, one has to change their way of thinking first.

1. DO NOT EXPECT FAST CASH!

Besides gambling or winning a lottery, working as an employee is the only way to get ‘fast’ cash… ‘fast’ as in ‘in-25-working-days’. This kind of cash is always certain to come in as long as you work from 9 to 5 for your boss. But as you probably already know it, as soon as you stop, the money stops. Once you have a content rich website, you should start participating in online discussions through newsgroups and forums of your interest. Once you get familiarized with the level of interaction taking place between other participants, you will feel comfortable to answer the questions.

You should start giving answers and participate in the conversations. Along with your answer you can add your signature line, having a small description and address of your website and products.

Make sure your answers are honest and useful. Soon you can become a trusted information source, or at least a helpful online friend to other members. You will be surprised to find, most people are so curious that they would like to know more about you and your website.

Why Are We All So Afraid?

February 21, 2009

What can strike terror into the heart of even the most successful sales professional or entrepreneur?

Cold Calling.

What can crush self-confidence, destroy self-esteem and leave even the most seasoned sales professional quivering with humiliation and defeat?

Cold Calling.

But why?

Every culture has its myths and stereotypes, and one of ours is the stereotype of the manipulative, unscrupulous salesman. The term "sales" conjures images of untrustworthiness and deviousness. We have the stereotypes of the "traveling salesman," the "used car salesman" and, of course, the "telemarketer."

These terms do not literally describe what the person is selling; they take on a larger meaning. For example, our cultural translation of "used car salesman" is not simply someone who is selling used cars, but instead means someone who is unethical, uncaring and will pressure you into a sale that is not necessarily in your best interest. "Telemarketer" has come to mean not just someone who sells over the telephone, but someone who interrupts your dinner, doesn’t listen and tries to pressure you into meaningless, valueless purchases. It can also mean someone who is running a scam over the telephone, usually preying on the elderly.
